Do we offer free estimates? Yes — here's what to expect

Yes, we offer free estimates — no strings attached
If your EV has been in a collision, the first thing most people want to know is: how much is this going to cost? At EV Central Service in San Francisco, we offer completely free, no-obligation estimates for all collision and body repair work.
There’s no appointment fee, no pressure, and no obligation to proceed. We want you to have accurate information before making any decisions.
What’s included in your free estimate
Our free estimates aren’t a quick walk-around with a clipboard. We do a thorough inspection that covers:
- Exterior damage assessment — panels, bumpers, doors, glass, paint, trim
- Structural inspection — frame alignment, unibody integrity, crumple zones
- High-voltage battery check — visual inspection for any signs of battery impact or compromise
- ADAS sensor evaluation — cameras, radar, ultrasonic sensors that may be affected
- Parts and labor breakdown — we itemize everything so there are no surprises
For EVs, a proper estimate takes more time than a standard vehicle — and that’s intentional. Missing battery or sensor damage early leads to bigger problems later.
Do I need an appointment?
Walk-ins are welcome, but scheduling ahead guarantees we can give your vehicle the time and attention it deserves. You can call us at (415) 881-1845 or stop by our shop at 718 Bryant St, San Francisco Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
What should I bring?
For the most accurate estimate, bring:
- Your vehicle — even if it’s drivable with cosmetic damage
- Your insurance information if you’re filing a claim
- Any photos you took at the scene of the accident
- Your vehicle’s registration and VIN
If your car isn’t drivable, we can help coordinate towing to our shop.
Will my insurance cover it?
In most cases, yes. EV Central Service works directly with all major insurance carriers. We handle the paperwork, communicate with your adjuster, and make sure the estimate covers everything — including EV-specific items that some general body shops miss, like battery inspection and ADAS recalibration.
If you’re paying out of pocket, our estimate gives you a clear, itemized cost so you can plan accordingly. No surprises.
How long does a free estimate take?
Most estimates take 30 to 60 minutes depending on the extent of the damage. For vehicles with significant front or rear impact, we may need a little more time to properly inspect structural components.
